Pioneer Center believes that children hold the keys to the future of society and our Early Intervention Program assists children with disabilities in becoming active members of their communities by providing them the tools they need to do so.

Pioneer Center’s Early Intervention Program provides services to infants and toddlers, birth-three years old (private therapies are available for children three-five years old), who have physical and/or developmental delays or disabilities.  These delays have a variety of causes, from genetic disorders to “environmental complications” such as fetal alcohol syndrome.

Our Early Intervention services are child and family focused to ensure the specific needs of the child and their family, are met.  Parents are integral parts of the therapy process and the therapists work with them, teaching specific in-home and follow-up activities, to ensure the child’s on-going development.

Early Intervention offers many effective modes of treatment, including Developmental, Speech and Language, Physical, and Occupational Therapies.  Most therapies are delivered in a 1-on-1 setting; however Child Development Play Groups are available for children.
